Part-time Recreation Complex Attendant:
Job duties include work of routine difficulty providing assistance to the public and maintaining cleanliness at the Dog Rive Reservoir. This employee will be responsible for a variety of general duties involving public contact such as collecting entrance fees, helping visitors with boat trailers, answering questions, and making sure the facilities are clean and well maintained. Reports under the supervision of the Systems Security Guard.
Part-time Customer Service Representative:
Job duties involve routine clerical and switchboard work handling telephone calls from the general public, assisting the public in person. Taking credit/debit card payments, noting customer accounts of action taken, filing, faxing, processing service orders. The position may also be involved in processing new service request and/or meeting with customers about simple billing concerns.
Senior Equipment Operator:
Job duties include operating wheeled and track vehicles and other moderately complex construction equipment. Operate, service, and perform minor maintenance on equipment for transporting personnel and materials. Must have a valid Georgia Driver’s License – Class A CDL.
Job duties include work of routine difficulty in manual labor involving physically demanding unskilled and limited semi-skilled tasks. Works as a member of water, wastewater, or construction crew maintaining water and/or sewer lines. This position requires the employee to be on-call on a rotating basis.
Water System Maintenance Superintendent:
The Douglasville – Douglas County Water and Sewer Authority is seeking applicants for the position of Water System Maintenance Superintendent. The Authority operates the water, sewer, and stormwater systems for Douglas County and the City of Douglasville.
The Maintenance Division is made up of five departments and 83 employees with skill levels that include laborers, equipment operators, mechanics, and tradesmen. The water system is comprised of over 930 miles of pipe and 42,000 water services. The Water System Maintenance Superintendent reports directly to the Systems Manager and leads the Water Department.
This employee is responsible for the management, inspections, and daily maintenance of the water system and other related construction projects including the Authority’s valve and fire hydrant preventive maintenance program. Responsible for supervising and training employees involved in maintaining, inspecting, locating, testing, mapping, and repairing of the water distribution system. This individual exercises a great deal of independent judgment and discretion in the performance of duties. This position requires the employee to be on-call on a rotating basis.
Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Business or a technical/related field; 8-10 years progressively responsible work in project construction management and/or maintenance programs, including proven supervisory, water supply line and/or sanitary sewerage construction/repair experience; strong public relations and interpersonal skills. Must possess a valid State of Georgia driver’s license and satisfactory motor vehicle record. Desirable qualifications include experience in implementing Preventive Maintenance programs, experience with CMMS software, possession of a State of Georgia Water Distribution Operators License, and possession of a Class “A” CDL (Commercial Driver’s License).
The median salary range for this position is $70,811.
