Facility Tours

Interested in getting a behind-the-scenes look at the water or wastewater treatment process? WSA welcomes visitors of all ages to tour our award-winning Bear Creek Water Treatment Plant or South Central Wastewater Treatment Plant.

To schedule a tour, call (770) 949-7617 or email us today!

All participants are required to sign a release of liability prior to the tour. Minors must have a release signed by a parent or guardian. Please be aware that all tours take place mainly outdoors and involve walking and climbing steps. While you wait for your tour to be scheduled, take a quick video tour of the water and wastewater treatment process.

Each year, hundreds of adults and students tour either our water treatment plant (the Bear Creek Water Treatment Plant), or our newest wastewater treatment plant (the South Central Wastewater Treatment Plant). Our tours are designed to fit your schedule and are specially adapted to fit the age range of your group. For example, a group which consists of elementary students would get a shorter tour, and the information would not be as technical as older students would receive.

A typical tour for older students and/or adults is usually about 2 – 2 1/2 hours long. A signed Release of Liability is required from each tour participant upon arrival. Please print a Release for each participant and have a parent or guardian sign for any underage participants. Tours are mostly outside and involve a lot of walking and some stair climbing so be sure to dress accordingly.
